Schools' Projects

2006                  Design a Logo for our walks 

Westwood College in Leek came up with 150 designs and essays from their pupils.  The design of the Wallaby on the boot print was judged as best design and now appears on all of our badges and publicity materials.  It was designed by Joanne Notley a 14 year old student

2007                  Design Posters

We had a competition for under 12 year olds and one for over 12 years of age.

56 poster designs were received from St. Mary’s RC Primary School and 120 from Westwood College.  The winning posters from each school were commercially prepared, published and used for advertising our walks.

2008                  Write a Letter to a Friend to persuade them to walk in the Countryside

47 entries received from St Mary’s RC Primary School

58 entries received from Westwood College

59 entries received from Cheadle High School

These entries are being progressed to produce a book for distribution to young people.
